Carleton Street Sewage Pumping Station Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Carleton Street Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) in Thorold, ON, was upgraded as part of the Region of Niagara’s infrastructure replacement program to update aging infrastructure. The existing SPS was a drywell-type station with two dry-pit pumps and a single wet well, and needed to be upgraded to the most recent Region pumping station standards.

CHALLENGES + OPPORTUNITIES

As part of the project scope, the Contractor needed a complete chamber including all pipes and fittings inside as well as external connections to the existing system. Traditionally known for supplying everything buried outside of the building, our Plant Division worked with our local Waterworks St. Catharines and Underground Specialties branches to fabricate the Concrete Meter Chamber at its facility near Windsor complete with Engineered stamped drawings.

OUTCOME

Our new St. Catharines branch worked with our key vendor partners, including Denso, to provide local support and quick response to anything needed on-site to ensure a quick and seamless installation. Utilizing both inter-branch and supplier support, Wolseley was able to offer a complete solution to this up and coming Contractor.
